Older kid had Tiilami and it was difficult to maneuver and worn ragged by the end of the year. I didn't appreciate how annoying trying to navigate different surfaces it was until we used 2 Tilami rolling backpacks as luggage for the kids that summer break. So when we reached middle school for the younger one (who is much harder on possessions than the older) I knew we wouldn't be using the rolling backpack we already had even though it had only been used for a couple of weeks. I liked this but when it came kiddo said it looked too much like luggage and not enough like a backpack so they got the anime backpack they wanted and an all direction luggage cart with bungee cords. 2 months later they were ready to try the uniker and we haven't looked back. Its been a heavy rain year for us. The rain cover works great and the wheels can navigate even muddy dirt roads and big ruts. I was reminded to write a review when I got off early from work and picked them up from school. Kiddo rolled up the sidewalk right along side their friends whose other brand rolling backpacks looked so incredibly beat up in comparison (one handle had completely broken) Uniker for the win. All the zippers still work great. Protects the laptop when it needs to (mostly use a separate Bixbee as computer bag). Roomy enough for multiple subjects , pencil case and PE clothes. Hard to squeeze larger snack containers in the front and the water bottle pocket not reliably holding the water flask are my only complaints. Kiddo would also complain that it's not a material that can be decorated with pins.
