If this is your first Timbuk2 messenger you should be happy with your purchase and it should last a long time. It’s well built and can carry plenty of weight on one shoulder. If like me however this is a replacement to your ‘original’ messenger, many good features from almost twenty years ago have been removed and this bag feels like a ‘lite’ version with most external pockets removed, an unpadded laptop sleeve with no Velcro closer and a simple band strap for a handle. The new shoulder strap is however much more comfortable.
